About the event
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Food Policy Council is partnering with Can U Cook for a live cooking competition on May 25, 2025, designed to showcase how to create delicious meals using ingredients from the farmers market.
In this MasterChef-style event, two chefs will go head-to-head, each challenged to incorporate a secret ingredient into a dish made entirely from market-sourced items.
The event also promotes cooking skills, nutrition education, and everyday kitchen knowledge. At the end, the audience will get to taste both dishes and vote for the winner, making it a fun and engaging experience for all ages.
