Food policy is not written on paper alone. It shows up in the partnerships that allow markets to operate, pantries to stock shelves, clinics to offer nutrition support, and local governments to address root causes.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Food Policy Council serves as a connector, policy voice, and program administrator helping to translate community needs into real programs that work. Our partnerships with farmers markets, healthcare providers, city and county agencies, nonprofits, and funders make it possible to move from conversation to coordinated action.
As demand continues to grow, these systems require not only collaboration but long-term public investment that allows this shared work to remain strong and sustainable.
We are grateful for the partners who stand in these spaces with us and remain focused on building systems that can hold.
