About Us
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Food Policy Council is dedicated to creating a sustainable, equitable, and healthy local food system in Mecklenburg County. We actively engage with and amplify local community voices, nurturing a vibrant and inclusive food ecosystem. The council works collaboratively to drive positive change in the community's food-related issues. We are looking for a great data intern to support our work in key collection and analysis projects.
Internship Description
We are seeking a detail oriented intern to work remotely handling data and assisting with generating reports. The ideal candidate will be a college student interested in Public Health, Nutrition, Agriculture, or a related field and seeking to gain experience in data management.
Key Responsibilites

Accurately input and update data related to food access programs and community assessments

Help organize and format raw data to ensure readiness for analysis.

Assist in generating basic reports and summaries for program evaluation and reporting

Ensure all data is handled with the utmost care, respecting privacy and confidentiality
Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Ability to work independently and stay organized in a remote work environment.

Basic problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data discrepancies.

Experience with database management or data entry systems is a plus (but not required).
